What we ate yesterday: Millet Risotto
Mmm did we mention you can also make a ‘risotto’ from millet?
Just roughly follow the recipe for our quinoa risotto here on Vogue.com but cook the millet for another 10-15mins longer:

For this recipe we used broccoli, red peppers and beef stock. On the side was a chopped tomato salad with...

DeVita Solar Body Block
This is the best sunscreen I have ever found! I stocked up in Oz but I’ve run out now and can’t find anything that goes on as beautifully - it feels just like a body lotion rather than the thick paste of other natural sunscreens.
I wrote to DeVita, an American company, and they don’t stock in the UK so please UK natural beauty product stockists/wholesalers...

Strawberries and Langoustine - the taste of Summer
We haven’t had much of a summer so far but yesterday was glorious. Time for some seasonal foods to match the weather. How about strawberries and langoustine fresh and ready to go at Borough Market. The good news is that this summer the market will be open 7 days a week to celebrate the Olympics.

Angel Balm
Angel balm. Both words calm me right away. Then you take the lid off and you’re transported into a complete sense of relaxation - the smell and the texture are divine.
We were first introduced to this product by our friend Yasmin Sewell after a wonderful meditation weekend that we catered for. Yasmin gave the attendees a little pot of this magic balm to take away. At first, I was a...

Vintage Veg
Heirloom tomatoes by tres.jolie on Flickr.
There are two main types of vegetable seeds to choose from: modern hybrids or heirloom vegetable varieties.
Hybrid seeds are created by crossing two selected varieties, sometimes resulting in vigorous plants that yield more than heirlooms. But they are mainly bred for uniformity in size, shape, and ripening, as well as for durability in...
Lunch at Gino's
Sorry for the lack of punctuation in the title - especially to you Lauren who likes to keep an eye on our grammar and dad who will probably get round to ‘marking’ this in a few months time - Tumblr just doesn’t allow for apostrophies in their headings…
Lunch at Gino’s. This was one of the many highlights of my recent trip to Ischia for the wedding of the gorgeous...

Make your own chilli oil
Grill some fresh chillies, allow to cool, peel the blackened skin and add to a bottle of extra virgin olive oil. If you’re feeling a little lazy try dried chillies. Experiment with whole garlic cloves and herbs.
Remember the longer the chillies are left to infuse the hotter your oil will be so take care! You can always dilute it with more olive oil.
